We need new emotional experiences, not new insights! It's a scientific fact that cognitive insight alone, no matter how brilliant, cannot "stretch" the mind to new dimensions. This is why I'm so enthusiastic and passionate about practicing Experiential Dynamic Therapy, a cutting-edge, evidence-based, accelerated method proven to produce effective and lasting life transformation. Many of my clients report a feeling of hope and momentum even after our first session!
One important way this model diverges from traditional psychotherapy is that it emphasizes emotional experiencing in our sessions — rather than continuing the avoidance of feeling your healthy core emotions. It is well documented that simply talking about emotions is not sufficient to bring about real and lasting change.
